Ted is the founder and CEO of Dataminr, where he pioneered the company’s real-time AI platform for detecting risks, events and critical information from public data signals. Since founding Dataminr in 2009, Ted has transformed the company into a world leading AI business that serves thousands of corporate, public sector and news organizations in more than 100 countries across six global offices. 

Long at the forefront of AI innovation, Ted has been recognized as a World Economic Forum Tech Pioneer and Business Insider’s 40 under 40 Tech Entrepreneur. He’s also been a featured speaker at Davos, the Aspen Ideas Festival and TechCrunch Disrupt.

Ted earned a BA from Yale University, with a focus on the impact of disruptive technologies.

Brian Gumbel is President and Chief Operating Officer (COO) at Dataminr, responsible for overseeing the company’s next growth phase by spearheading its global enterprise strategy across public and private sector sales, operations, customer success, marketing, and partnerships.

A seasoned business and cybersecurity leader with 25-plus years of experience, Brian has a proven track record of driving transformative revenue growth and successfully building high-performance teams, optimizing operations, and fueling go-to-market strategies. 

Before Dataminr, he served as president and COO of Armis, transforming it from an early-stage cybersecurity startup into the No. 1 cyber asset management company.

Jason Wilcox is the Executive Vice President of Product & Engineering at Dataminr. 

Before Dataminr, he spent 17 years at Microsoft, where he made significant contributions to its consumer and enterprise data businesses—including building petabyte-scale big data and machine learning ad solutions across Bing and Yahoo. Jason also led Microsoft’s information management initiative, a major driver behind its flagship brand for machine learning. 

Jason has a B.S. in electrical engineering/computer science from MIT and a MS from University of Illinois UC in computer science, focused on evolutionary techniques in AI.

Peter Bailey is President, Corporate Initiatives at Dataminr and one of the company’s founding members. He’s responsible for driving the strategy, business development, fundraising and investor relations critical to growing and expanding Dataminr. 

Peter was integral to building Dataminr’s initial data and market entry strategies and is often a company spokesperson at events such as the U.N.’s  AI for Good Global Summit. 

Prior to Dataminr, Peter was general manager of IAM, responsible for overseeing internal operations. He has an AB from Harvard College and an MBA from NYU’s Stern School of Business. 

Kiran Rao is Dataminr’s Interim CFO, President & Chief Strategy Officer, responsible for strategy, M&A, corporate development and strategic growth.

Prior to Dataminr, he was a Senior Management Associate at leading investment management firm Bridgewater Associates, held leadership roles at Boston Consulting Group (BCG) and was an investor at Grove Street Advisors, a leading PE/VC fund-of funds.

Kiran earned his MBBS in medicine and surgery from Kempegowda Institute of Medical Sciences in Bengaluru, India. He also has MBAs from the Indian Institute of Management Ahmedabad and the ESSEC business school, Paris.

Whitney Benner is the Chief People Officer at Dataminr, responsible for ensuring Dataminr continues to build a diverse, inclusive and performance-driven culture that attracts, develops and retains top talent worldwide—key to the company’s vision and long-term growth.

Whitney oversees HR strategy, DEI, internal communications, talent acquisition, learning and development and HR operations. Her 20-plus years of HR experience includes being chief HR officer at Cision and leadership roles at PR Newswire, Medialink and MJI Broadcasting.

Whitney earned a BA in psychology and philosophy from Skidmore College. 

Brian Howie is President, Corporate Market at Dataminr, responsible for all facets of the company’s private sector business globally, including new business, account management and customer success. 

He has 20-plus years of sales leadership experience and deep expertise scaling sales organizations focused on enterprise-wide cybersecurity software. Prior to Dataminr, Brian served as the head of worldwide sales at tray.io, where he played a pivotal role in shaping the company’s sales strategies and global outreach. Before that, he held leadership positions at Menlo Security, Sumo Logic, AppDynamics, McAfee, and HP Software.

Dana Barnes is the President of Government at Dataminr, where he focuses on delivering mission-supporting solutions to government and other public sector customers worldwide. 

Prior to Dataminr, Dana was Palo Alto Networks’ SVP for U.S. public sector sales, responsible for delivering critical cyber security solutions. He also held several leadership roles at Microsoft, including VP of State & Local, and served as an artillery officer in the U.S. Marine Corps.

Dana has a BS in history from the U.S. Naval Academy and an MS in information and telecommunications systems from Capitol Technology University.

Murali Nemani is the Chief Marketing Officer at Dataminr, responsible for steering the company’s marketing strategies and revenue growth initiatives. 

As a Silicon Valley veteran, he has 20-plus years of experience building go-to-market engines for high growth organizations, driving adoption of disruptive technologies and establishing market leadership through category creation efforts. Prior to Dataminr, Murali was CMO at Aisera and Sciencelogic, where he helped businesses understand and apply AI into their most critical applications. 

Murali earned a BS in electrical and computer engineering and an MBA. He has served as a recurring guest lecturer at the Stanford Graduate School of Business.

Alex Jaimes is Chief AI Officer at Dataminr, where he leads the company’s AI efforts in engineering and applied research. His teams are in charge of creating AI models that detect events globally and in real time. 

A scientist and AI innovator with 15-plus years of experience, Alex has built products used by millions (e.g., real-time event detection, self-driving cars) at companies like Yahoo, IBM and Siemens. 

Alex has over 100 patents and publications in top-tier conferences and journals in AI, and holds a MS in computer science and Ph.D. in electrical engineering from Columbia University.

Gary Hacker is General Counsel at Dataminr and oversees the company’s global legal operations. Before coming to Dataminr, Gary was the General Counsel at Bai Brands and, prior to that, was Counsel at Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom.

Gary earned a BA degree from the University of Delaware and a JD degree from Seton Hall University School of Law.

Matt Harrell is Chief Partner Officer at Dataminr, where he’s responsible for the overall partner strategy and all indirect revenue from strategic partner routes to market.

Matt brings over 25 years of experience in the cybersecurity and cloud infrastructure markets with expertise in building high-performing direct and indirect go-to-market teams. Prior to Dataminr, Matt was responsible for global channels and alliances at Cloudflare, where he was part of the executive leadership team that grew revenue from pre-IPO to $1.3B. Before that, Matt held leadership positions at Google Cloud, Symantec, Inktomi and Advent Software.
